The St. Bartholomew the Apostle Church Youth Group is comprised of high school youth from nine area High Schools. The Youth Group Ministers aim to provide a program that is fun, faith-centered and friendly for all who attend. We strive to incorporate the three main components of youth ministry into the overall framework of the meetings and activities:

The Youth Group begins with the Sunday evening "Youth" Mass at 5:00 pm at which our Young People’s Music Ministry, comprised mostly of students and young adults, offer their time and talent as musicians and singers to lead the congregation in worship. Mass is followed by a meeting that helps students better understand and practice their faith as well as offer programs and activities that will help them deal with and understand issues that teen’s face today. Meetings are scheduled from 6:00 – 8:00 pm and normally include a meal such as pizza, pasta or outdoor grilling in warmer weather. We strive to offer our teens an environment in which they can feel safe to be themselves and at which they will enjoy the friendship and fellowship of other students.
A select number of students are also involved on the Student Leadership Committee. The Youth Group Student Leadership Committee meets each Monday night with the youth ministers and volunteer young adults to plan and organize the Sunday night meetings as well as events and activities in the months (and even years, like “World Youth Day”) to come.
Besides the spiritual and social aspects of Youth Group, we also dedicate part of our efforts towards learning about and serving our church, community, Archdiocese, state, nation and world always in the spirit of charity and generosity.
