St. Bartholomew Day / Ministry Fair
Join us after Mass on the weekend of September 19 & 20, 2009 to see all of our parish ministries. Visit over 40 different ministries and organziations that bring St. Bartholomew the Apostle Parish to life! All groups are always looking for new members and volunteers to help promote, organize and run their respective ministry or organization. Ages 1-8 - "We Serve God" Coloring Contest - Download
Download the "We Serve God" sheet and color it in. All submissions must be returned on or before September 27, 2009. Winner will receive a $50 Gift Card to Toys R Us.
Ages 9-19 - "How can I inspire others to serve God?” Essay Contest

Contest Rules:
- Open to all students ages 9 through 18.
- Contestants must compose an original essay with minimal guidance from others.
- The essay must be submitted typed on 8.5” x 11” paper.
- Essays must be between 500 and 1,000 words long. Acknowledge in footnotes all quotations, borrowed ideas, and sources of facts that are not general knowledge. Footnotes are not counted as part of the length of the essay.
- Clearly include your name, age, school, address, and telephone number at the end of the essay.
- All entries must be submitted to the rectory no later than September 27, 2009. Entries must be in an envelope specifying” St. Bartholomew Essay Contest.”
- The winning essay will be read at an upcoming Mass and posted on the St. Bartholomew Church website.
